LEGAL · ACCEPTABLE USE

Acceptable use.

Rules for responsible and lawful use of dedicated infrastructure and hosting services.

Operational policy

This acceptable use policy is intended to protect customers, networks, and the wider internet ecosystem. It should be read together with the terms of service and any customer-specific order terms when a hosting or dedicated server agreement is in place.

Last updated October 2026

1. Scope

This policy applies to all customers, users, and administrators using any service supplied by Safe Cloud Online, including dedicated infrastructure planning, hosting, server environment access, and support activities. The policy is designed to ensure that the services are used lawfully, securely, and without harming other customers or third parties.

2. Lawful and proper use

Customers must use the services in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and network standards. This includes prohibitions on unlawful content, harmful conduct, fraud, harassment, phishing, malware distribution, unauthorized access, or the facilitation of criminal activities.

3. Prohibited conduct

  • Using the service to distribute malware, phishing pages, ransomware tools, credential harvesters, or other harmful code.
  • Launching denial-of-service attacks, attempted intrusion, port scanning, vulnerability exploitation, or disruptive network activity.
  • Sending unsolicited bulk communications, spam, or deceptive marketing campaigns in violation of applicable law.
  • Hosting unlawful content, defamatory material, exploitation content, or illegal marketplaces.
  • Using another customer’s credentials, resources, infrastructure, or account access without authorization.
  • Attempting to evade security controls, service restrictions, or abuse countermeasures.

4. Security responsibilities

Customers remain responsible for the security of the software, applications, content, and credentials deployed on the service. This includes secure configuration, authentication controls, updates, backup planning, and incident response. Where a customer uses a managed service or support arrangement, the responsibilities should be specified in the relevant service order or agreement.

5. Abuse reporting

Customers should report abusive, illegal, or security-related activity immediately using the business’s support or abuse contact. The business may review reports, request remediation, isolate traffic, suspend accounts, or take other appropriate steps if the issue threatens the network, customers, or legal compliance. Reports should include the nature of the incident, affected assets, evidence if available, and a preferred contact method.

6. Investigations and enforcement

Safe Cloud Online may investigate material concerns and take appropriate action where a violation of this policy is identified or where a service risk is credible. Actions may include warning notices, remediation requests, access restrictions, suspension, or termination under the governing agreement. In serious or unlawful cases, the business may also escalate to law enforcement or applicable third parties.

7. Changes and communication

This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect legal requirements, operational practice, or service changes. Customers should review the latest policy available on the website and any contractually incorporated terms. Where an update materially changes customer obligations, the business should communicate the change through a suitable channel before it takes effect.

8. Contact

Abuse reports, incident notifications, and policy questions should be sent to the monitored business contact published on the website. The contact method should be actively checked and should be included in the final public policy before the site is used for live commercial operations.
